Job summary

Hormel Foods Corporation is seeking a Cooking Tech 1 at our Henderson, TX facility to assist in the cooking of meat products under supervision. You will load raw meat onto racks inside pits, unload cooked meat, and help identify products and manage rack movement through scales and chill cells.

Must follow GMPs, maintain clean work areas, and assist with daily equipment checks. The role is full-time with 40+ hours per week in a demanding production environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Loads raw meat onto racks inside pits.
• Unloads cooked meat from pits to racks and transport to scale and chill cell.
• Identifies products and species; performs cleaning/washing of pits and racks.
• Assembles/disassembles racks; inspects hardware like bushings, pins and washers.
• Follows GMPs including hair net, gloves, frock, boots; no jewelry or shorts.
