Job summary

Palmer Food Services in Rochester, NY seeks a Meat Production Generalist for a full-time role. You will help with product flow, packaging, labeling and boxing, while keeping FIFO and organized work areas.

Responsibilities include HACCP compliance, machine start-up and shutdown, sanitation, and assembling products per work orders. Candidates should have basic knife skills, English literacy, and the ability to work in a refrigerated environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English and perform basic math.
• Must have sense of responsibility to accomplish tasks without supervision.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
• Experience with HACCP or food safety practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product flow, rotation, correct packaging, labeling and boxing, maintaining FIFO.
• Follow HACCP regulations to keep procedures within federal guidelines.
• Sanitize machines before start-up and during shutdown; clean and sanitize end of shift.
• Assist with sausage/beef patty production using basic knife skills and assemble per work orders.
