Job summary

JBS USA in Omaha seeks a General Production team member to support live animal handling, humane stunning, and efficient processing on the harvest floor. You will assist with trimming, offal handling, weighing with scales, and packing products to meet customer specifications. This is a physically demanding, on-site role in a fast-paced meat processing environment.

No prior experience required; willingness to learn, adhere to safety standards, and cooperate with the floor team.

Qualifications

Experience in meat processing or similar manufacturing is preferred but not required.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to work in harsh temperatures with moving machinery and wet floors.

Responsibilities

Unload and segregate live animals humanely and prepare for entering Harvest Floor.
Stun animals humanely to enter the harvest floor.
Hide removal using dehider knives and powered equipment.
Harvest blood on the harvest floor in preparation for customer.
Trim carcasses to remove contaminants.
Harvest offal products and prepare for customer.
Operate scales to weigh and process payments from producers and customers.
Break down carcasses and save primals as required by customers.
Trim product to customer specifications and package accordingly.
Operate lifts to move product into storage and for shipment.
Ship product as orders are received.
