Job summary

Berkot's Super Foods in Kankakee, IL is seeking a full-time Meat Cutter to prepare meat and chicken, grind and cut meat, and replenish the counter display for a fresh, attractive counter. This role supports efficient operations and customer service in the seafood/meat department.

Applicants must be 18+, able to lift 40 lbs, stand for 5 hours, and operate knives, slicers, ovens and other equipment. ACA insurance and IL Paid Leave benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 Years of Age or Older.
• Able to Lift 40 lbs/Push or Pull 100 lbs.
• Able to stand for 5 hours.
• Able to use knives, slicers, ovens, and other machinery to complete tasks.
• Insurance Package (eligible through ACA).
• Paid Leave (eligible through IL Paid Leave for All Act).

Responsibilities

• Meat and Chicken preparation.
• Receiving loads off of transportation trucks and stacking the loads properly.
• Grinding and cutting meat.
• Wrapping meat and replenishing the counter display.
• Ability to adapt to additional skills, duties, and responsibilities that are asked of the employee.
