Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk in Walton, KY to maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts and daily verifications.

Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, rotating items, monitoring movements and assisting with forklift and RF scanner tasks to ensure accurate order selection.

Qualifications

• Must be able to count and perform simple mathematical operations.
• Must have experience using an RF scanner.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and improves the integrity of inventory counts through cycle counts and troubleshooting.
• Receives, stocks and handles UPS shipments; verifies daily rotation and placement of items.
• Monitors movements of items to ensure correct aisle placement and velocities for order selection.
• Back-up support for warehouse day shift when needed; adheres to safety and company policies.

This commitment is made clear by the superior meat and seafood specialty products we distribute.There's a seat at our table for you...**What we offer**Medical, Prescription Drug, EFAP Benefits after 30 days of employment Dental, vision and other voluntary plans Pre-Tax Saving Accounts Profit Sharing**Position Summary:**Maintains and improves the integrity of inventory counts through a system of cycle counts and trouble shooting.Essential Functions:* Performs direct cycle counts daily and performs daily count of items on the Scratch Sales* Report, investigates and solves discrepancies with inventory count.* Checks and verifies daily rotation of specified items.* Monitors movements of items to ensure placement in appropriate aisles and velocity zones for efficient order selection.* Assures all product slots are clearly and accurately marked.* Receives, stocks and handles UPS shipments, periodically using a standing fork lift.* Provides back-up support for warehouse day shift in cases of vacation, sick days, as needed.* Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:*** Must be able to operate a forklift.* Must be able to communicate clearly in a professional manner.* Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.* Must be able to count and perform simple mathematical operations.* Must have experience using a RF scanner.* Must have ability to work independently or within a team environment.
