Minimum Requirements:

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
• Must work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate certain equipment.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to tactfully and calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.

Desired Qualifications:

• Meat work experience or similar experience in food preparation.
• Dependability and integrity in past work records.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.

Essential duties include tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, wrapping, bagging, pricing, pre-fabricating, dating, labeling, scaling, merchandising, selling, serving customers, and other functions per company policies. Maintain department temperature logs, stock and display meat items safely, check product quality, keep areas clean and organized, and ensure safety standards are met. Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively, unload trucks, sanitize equipment, and support store sales and profits while adhering to policies on harassment and discrimination. Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments, manage conflicts non-confrontationally, act with honesty and integrity, follow directions, and support vulnerable populations when necessary. Must be able to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
