MEAT/MEAT CUTTER (Finance)

Minimum Requirements:

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
• Must work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate certain equipment.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to tactfully and calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.

• Meat work experience or similar experience in food preparation.
• Dependability and integrity reflected in past work records.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, wrapping, bagging, pricing, pre-fabricating, dating, labeling, scaling, merchandising, selling, serving customers, and other functions per company policies.
• Keep department temperature logs updated.
• Stock and display meat items safely and according to standards.
• Check product quality, rotate stock, and ensure freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales areas, backrooms, and coolers.
• Ensure carts, tools, and supplies are in designated areas.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and clutter-free.
• Provide excellent customer and associate relations.
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Unload trucks, sort orders, and store in proper coolers.
• Sanitize equipment per policies.
• Greet customers and provide quality foods promptly and cheerfully.
• Support store sales and profits aligning with marketing programs.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to policies, including harassment and discrimination policies.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced, stressful environments.
• Manage conflicts cooperatively and non-confrontationally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
