Piggly Wiggly Albany GA is seeking a Meat Market Associate who enjoys serving customers and providing excellent, courteous, and prompt service. The ideal candidate will have grocery retail/meat prep experience and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety mindedness and attention to detail.

The Meat Market Associates are responsible for cleaning the food prep and storage areas, cutting, trimming, and preparing meat products for sale in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in grocery/meat prep is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety instructions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Clean food prep and storage areas and equipment after use.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety procedures.
• Report theft, shoplifting, or policy violations to management.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties such as stocking and cleaning as required.
• Work in a cold/refrigerated environment while following safety guidelines.
