Job summary

Saver Group in Kentucky is seeking a Meat Manager to lead the store’s meat department, drive sales and profitability, and uphold the highest standards of quality and service for customers.

You will train associates, manage product orders and monthly inventory, and ensure proper cold chain, sanitation, and display presentation in line with company merchandising plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience safely using manual pallet jacks, hand tools and power equipment, including but not limited to knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machine, and power saw preferred.
• Experience with ordering, rotation, training, monthly inventory preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives and power equipment, cuts and/or packages authorized beef, pork and poultry items according to the policies and procedures.
• Prepares and places meat cuts and products in the display counter according to the procedures so they will appear attractive and appealing to the customers.
• Orders product based on customer’s wants and needs. Review bills for proper billing.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat upon delivery, to maintain cold chain and ensures meat quality.
• Ensures sanitation and quality standards are met daily which adhere to the policy.
• Responsible for accurate monthly inventory count and maximizing gross profit.

Job Summary
