A leading company in the retail sector is seeking a supervisor for their Meat/Seafood Department. The role involves managing associates, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting departmental operations. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and a high school diploma or GED. Training will be provided, and physical demands include lifting and working in a cool environment.
Assist in managing and supervising up to 15 associates in the Meat/Seafood Department. Responsible for supporting the Meat/Seafood Manager in directing, coordinating, and evaluating departmental activities. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Harris Teeter's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, training, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, and addressing complaints.

High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English, including instructions, memos, and small group presentations.
Knowledge of HT Internet software, email, inventory management software, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
Ability to perform basic math operations with two-digit numbers, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, using units of American currency, weight, volume, and distance.
Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions and solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
Completion of company training programs including new hire orientation, food sanitation, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds frequently, with reach from 6-72 inches. Specific vision abilities include close, color, and depth perception.
Work in a cool environment (34-36°F), frequently exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and extreme cold. Noise levels are moderate to loud.
