Job Description

Create outstanding customer experiences through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and fresh environment that encourages our customers to return. Help achieve sales and profit goals for the department, and monitor all quality assurance standards. Supervise all functions and activities of the Meat Department in the Meat Manager's absence. Support daily Meat operations and promote the Customer 1st strategy, encouraging associates to deliver excellent service. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Adhere to all safety and food safety regulations, as well as company guidelines.
• Promote trust and respect among team members.
• Communicate relevant information to associates.
• Empower team members to meet or exceed targets.
• Manage scheduling to handle customer volume.
• Train and develop associates, participate in performance appraisals.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers, answer questions, and suggest products.
• Demonstrate Meat Cutter skills, cut to customer requests, and use proper equipment.
• Inform customers of specials and offer samples.
• Provide ordered products in correct portions to reduce shrink.
• Manage production and minimize shrink using cutting tools.
• Stay informed on promotions and maintain merchandising standards.
• Monitor inventory and pricing accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with labeling laws.
• Assist with inventory processes.
• Maintain proper temperature logs and equipment condition.
• Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
