Job Description

Create outstanding customer experiences through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe, clean, and fresh environment that encourages our customers to return. Help achieve sales and profit goals for the department, and monitor and control all quality assurance standards. Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the Meat Department in the Meat Manager's absence. Support the day-to-day operations of the Meat Department. Embrace the Customer First strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety, food safety regulations, and company guidelines.
  • Promote trust and respect among associates.
  • Communicate relevant information to associates.
  • Empower associates to meet or exceed targets through collaboration.
  • Develop scheduling to manage customer volume.
  • Train and develop associates, including inventory management and performance appraisals.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers, answer questions, and suggest products.
  • Demonstrate Meat Cutter skills and cut to customer requests using proper equipment.
  • Inform customers of specials and offer samples.
  • Provide products in correct portions to minimize shrink.
  • Maintain merchandising standards and inventory awareness.
  • Ensure proper labeling, pricing, and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in inventory processes and maintain proper temperatures and equipment.
  • Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
