The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related science and four years of experience in inspection or related agricultural work, plus strong communication skills and travel across Oklahoma.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in agricultural, biological, plant, animal, physical or natural science, food technology, or closely related field.
• Four years of qualifying inspection experience or administrative experience in an agricultural related field.
• Equivalency/substitution: Will accept an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Aufgaben

• Efficiently assign inspectors to provide daily coverage in each inspected meat and poultry processing plant.
• Evaluate and document the job performance of subordinate meat inspectors through the annual performance review process.
• Clearly communicate Agency policies and regulatory requirements to inspection and plant management personnel.
• Ensure that inspection personnel properly evaluate the adequacy and the effectiveness of the SSOPs in inspected meat and poultry processing plants.
• Ensure that inspection personnel properly evaluate the adequacy and the effectiveness of the HACCP plans in inspected meat and poultry processing plants.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations and rules, which relate to meat and poultry inspection.
• Accurately complete quarterly reviews of inspected meat and/or poultry establishments as well as custom exempt establishments in a timely fashion.
• Coordinate with Circuit Supervisor to accurately perform scheduled self-certification reviews in both inspected and custom exempt, meat and/or poultry establishments.
