Job summary

Western Valley Meat Company is seeking team members for Fabrication General Production in Fresno, CA. The roles involve skinning, trimming, sorting and inspection of carcasses, with safety and cleanliness as top priorities in our meat processing facility.

Starting wage is $17.50 per hour during a 90-day probationary period, with increases as duties are awarded; range becomes $19.35 to $24.50 per hour based on job and performance. Day shift positions available.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch and twist while using hands and arms.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying objects.
• Position requires the use of knives and hooks.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools and equipment such as knives, scissors, saws, scales and other manufacturing equipment.
• Skinning. Trimming, Sorting, Hanging and Inspection of Carcasses and edible offal products; etc.
• Loading product into machines, packaging, labeling and scaling of product.
• Maintain start times and shift routines; typical shift starts 5:45am to 6:15am.
• Wage progression after probation; starting wage $17.50/hr for 90 days, then $19.35–$24.50/hr.
