Job summary

Western Valley Meat Company is hiring for Harvest General Production roles in Fresno, CA. This full-time position involves using knives and other tools in a meat processing environment, with a day shift and hourly pay from $17.50 to $24.50 depending on the role and performance during the 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities include skinning, trimming, sorting, hanging and inspection of carcasses, loading product into machines, packaging and labeling, with daily start times around

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch and twist while using hands and arms to do simple gripping and grasping.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying objects.
• Working from platforms off the floor.
• Position requires the use of knives and hooks.
• Must be able to work in Hot, Humid and bloody work environment. Average temperature is around 80 degrees.
• Ability to follow general workplace safety procedures and policies while wearing required personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Using tools and equipment such as knives, scissors, saws, scales and other specialized manufacturing equipment
• Skinning. Trimming, Sorting, Hanging and Inspection of Carcasses and other edible offal products; etc.
• Loading Product into machines, packaging, and boxing, labeling and scaling of product.
• Work Schedule Start times range from 7am to 830am depending on specific role.
• Pay Rate is $17.50 for the 90 day probationary period
• Pay ranges from $19.35 to $24.50 depending on job awarded at time of hire.
