Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets in California is seeking a friendly Meat Dispatcher to provide prompt, courteous service to customers by filling orders for meat, seafood, and cremeria products. You will stock displays, ensure labeling accuracy, and uphold Vallarta's high standards of food safety and sanitation in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to learn meat, seafood, and cremeria products and product codes.
• Experience in a fast-paced, direct customer interaction setting is implied by role.

Responsibilities

• Smile, greet, and assist customers with extraordinary service.
• Model Vallarta’s core values: customer service, commitment, integrity, respect, humility, and teamwork.
• Achieve and maintain standards for merchandising, presentation, signage, inventory, and price integrity.
• Fill customer orders accurately, package, weigh, and label products.
• Rotate and stock products in display cases and coolers to maintain freshness.
• Promote sales through suggestive selling and preparation of marinated meats and vegetables.
• Maintain cases, counters, and displays clean and presentable.
• Ensure compliance with weights, measures, and labeling laws.
• Monitor case temperatures and report discrepancies.
• Assist with sanitation processes and equipment cleaning.
• Work safely with protective equipment and report unsafe conditions.
• Treat coworkers and customers with respect and follow policies.
• Do not operate equipment without proper training or authorization.
• Support teamwork and communicate with management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
