Job summary

ShopRite of Somerville is seeking a Meat Wrapper Clerk to wrap, package, scale, and price mark meat products in the Meat Department. You will maintain a neat, clean display and assist customers while following safety and QA standards.

Responsibilities include stocking, rotating products, and working in refrigerated areas with varying temperatures. Regular lifting and teamwork are required to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English and understand basic instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Stand, bend, twist, reach, push and regularly lift 35 lbs., occasionally 80–90 lbs.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful way.
• Able to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Check refrigeration equipment for proper performance and report issues.
• Stock merchandise and display cases in the Meat Department.
• Ensure knowledge of products carried in the department.
• Follow QA standards and sanitize surfaces and equipment.
• Assist in price marking and rotation of stock.
