Job summary

ShopRite of Old Bridge in New Jersey is seeking a Meat Wrapper Clerk to assist in the Meat Department by wrapping, packaging, scaling, and price marking merchandise while delivering a great customer experience.

You will maintain a clean, safe department, handle up to 90 lb lifts, work in refrigerated environments, and support various tasks consistent with company policy. Applicants must be able to read, write and speak English and work in a team.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes and speaks English proficiently.
• Performs basic math and calculations for pricing and discounts.
• Able to stand, lift up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and with product in Meat Department.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Wrap, package, scale, and price mark meat products.
• Maintain clean, neat, and safe Meat Department workspace.
• Stock and display merchandise and assist customers.
• Check prices and locate items in the store.
• Follow safety, quality, and company policies in all tasks.
