Job summary

ShopRite of Bridgeton is seeking a Meat Wrapper Clerk to wrap, package, scale, and price mark meat products in the Meat Department. The role requires maintaining department cleanliness, efficiency, and safety, while delivering a great customer experience.

The position involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 80-90 lbs occasionally, and working in refrigerated environments with varying temperatures. Compliance with company policies and QA standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English and understand directions.
• Proficiency in basic math and commercial calculations.
• Ability to stand, lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment in the Meat Department.
• Check refrigeration equipment and report issues; stock and display merchandise.
• Perform price marking, weight checks, and assist in product rotations.
• Handle damaged/ spoiled products per policy and assist inventory processes.
• Follow safety, QA, and regulatory procedures; dress per policy.
