Job summary

ShopRite in New Jersey is seeking a Meat Wrapper Clerk in the Inserra NJ operation. You will wrap, package, weigh, and price-mark meat products while delivering a courteous customer experience in a fast-paced department.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 90 lbs, basic math, safe food handling knowledge, and the ability to work in refrigerated areas; familiarity with varied temperatures and strong teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to lift 35 lbs regularly and up to 80-90 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Check refrigeration equipment for proper performance; report failures.
• Utilize and maintain department equipment; report issues.
• Maintain sanitation per policy.
• Stock merchandise and display cases.
• Be knowledgeable about department products.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and equipment.
• Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
• Perform basic math to verify invoices and counts.
• Work in refrigerated environments and occasional frozen storage.
• Complete reports: daily sales, inventory, receiving, audits.
• Check prices and locate items in-store.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Stand for long shifts and overtime as needed.
• Unload trucks and move merchandise weighing 35 lbs. (up to 90 lbs).
• Follow safety, QA, and company policies and procedures.
