Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Meat Team Member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the meat department. You will help maintain fresh displays, assist with sampling programs, and ensure a clean, safe work area while delivering courteous and efficient service.

No retail experience required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing displays; stock cases and shelves; rotate and remove out-of-date products.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program; keep samples full and clean.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, floors, and drains.
• Arrive on time, groomed; attend trainings and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service; help customers promptly.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, rotation and merchandising.
• Follow procedures on weights, measures, health, sanitation, safety.
• Maintain a clean environment; keep equipment clean and safe.
• Perform opening, mid, closing duties; verify signs and pricing.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
