Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking an individual to assist in the Meat department by performing general clean-up, stocking, and customer service. You will greet customers, ensure quality and safety, and maintain clean displays in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include temperature checks, merchandising, cashier duties, and collaborating with teammates while upholding company values and policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication with customers and associates.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work with all levels of the organization.
• Maintains honesty, integrity and adherence to safety and food handling policies.
• Experience in grocery retail and customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully; greet customers and provide quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Must communicate with customers and associates; maintain a neat, friendly impression.
• Unload and store merchandise; prepare and display foods per standards and policies.
• Perform required temperature monitoring and ensure product quality and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized; monitor floors for safety.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per company and Health Department rules.
• Maintain signage, rotation, freshness, quantity, and space allocation for merchandise.
• Operate cash register per company procedures.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Resolve conflicts calmly and cooperatively; act with honesty regarding information.
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support interacting with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
