Job summary

Kroger is hiring for a store associate in Decherd, TN. You will perform general cleanup and stock work in the Meat department while delivering outstanding customer service and upholding our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

You will greet customers, maintain product quality and freshness, assist with displays, and follow all company policies and health regulations. This role requires teamwork and the ability to handle a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully.
• Greet customers and provide high-quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Maintain clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
• Unload and store merchandise; prepare and display foods per standards.
• Perform temperature monitoring and ensure product freshness and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Keep floors clean and free of clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies.
• Maintain signage, rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation.
• Maintain equipment and facilities per policies and procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and laws; operate cash register as applicable.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
