Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a meat department team member to support the meat, poultry, and seafood sections. You will weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, assist the meat cutter, and ensure products are stocked, rotated by expiration dates, and presented to Members with safety and quality in mind.

The role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and adherence to club policies while maintaining a clean, safe, and positive environment for Members and associates alike.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience working in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to Members by answering questions regarding meats, poultry, and seafood.
• Weights, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood, including grinds.
• Assists the meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood.
• Inspects and stores meat upon delivery and ensures quality standards are met.
• Maintains cases stocked and signage, rotates products by expiration dates.
