Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Meat Team Member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the meat department. You will help ensure a positive store image with courteous, friendly service and adherence to SOPs.

No prior retail experience is required, and flexibility for a varied schedule is expected. The role involves stocking, customer assistance, sample program support, and maintaining clean displays while following health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in wet and cold environment.
• Compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh, appealing displays by stocking cases, rotating products, and keeping areas clean.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program and keep sample areas clean and inviting.
• Clean cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, floors and drains as required.
• Arrive on time, groomed, and ready to work; attend trainings and meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximize sales by proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follow procedures including weights & measures, sanitation, and safety rules.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; keep equipment maintained.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and verify pricing signs.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
