Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in meat retail, butcher shop, grocery, or food service environments.
• Strong knowledge of meat cutting, product sourcing, portion control, and food safety standards.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work in refrigerated environments for extended periods.
• Strong communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily Meat department operations and service.
• Ensure all meat products meet freshness, quality, and presentation standards.
• Cut, trim, grind, and prepare meats using proper techniques and equipment.
• Fulfill custom and special orders with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain fully stocked and visually appealing service and self-service cases throughout the day.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise meat cutters and department associates.
