Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Meat Lead in Wyoming, Michigan to help run the department day-to-day, ensure staff are trained, and keep the department stocked and compliant with company standards. You will cut and weigh meat products, manage inventory, and assist with flight plans and scheduling to drive performance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets).

Responsibilities

• Order and maintain inventory in the department using inventory control procedures.
• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc. for individual servings.
• Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight; store properly.
• Assist Department Manager in managing a team for stocking, production, and tasks.
• Maintain familiarity with products and store promotions and features.
• Assure weekly and period Flight Plan is communicated and executed.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining work schedules, labor control, and payroll expense.
• Follow food safety, PPE, safety guidelines, and guest experience standards.
• Develop and implement plans to meet company goals and KPIs.
• Attend daily huddles and contribute to department operations.
