The Save Mart Companies in California is recruiting a Meat Manager to lead the Meat Department, drive customer service, maximize sales, and uphold freshness, cleanliness, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Internal candidates: no disciplinary suspensions in last 6 months.
• Journeyman Meat Cutter level or at least 2 years (4,160 hours) meat cutting experience.
• Knowledge of meat products, cutting techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in refrigerated environments.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day Meat Department operations: cutting, merchandising, inventory, sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
• Manage department labor, scheduling, and training of Meat Clerks and Cutters.
• Maintain proper product rotation, quality, and freshness.
• Engage with customers, answer questions, and offer meal solutions.
• Drive department sales and profitability through merchandising and promotions.
• Control shrink, manage inventory, and ensure accurate pricing/ labeling.
• Collaborate with store leadership on strategic planning and execution.
