Job summary

The Bavarian Inn Restaurant, located at 713 S. Main Street, Frankenmuth, MI, is hiring for a part-time Meat Department worker. Wage is $15 per hour with shifts such as 8am-4pm or 9am-6pm.

Eligible employees may receive tuition reimbursement and referral bonuses, plus free meals when on clock. Responsibilities include assisting in processing raw poultry, meats, and seafood; cleaning and sanitizing equipment; and upholding Bavarian Inn and health department standards for cleanliness and sanitation

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull weights up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand/walk for shift duration (8+hours).

Responsibilities

• Assists the Meat Department in the processing of raw poultry, meats, and seafood by cleaning, trimming, or breading of products.
• Responsible for cleaning & sanitizing meat processing equipment at end of shift.
• Consistently maintains standards of both Bavarian Inn & health department for cleanliness and sanitation of food products as well as areas and equipment utilized by the Meat Department.

Summary of Job Tasks:

The Bavarian Inn Restaurant serves over half a MILLION family style chicken dinners a year– creating enjoyable experiences for all our guests both near and far. That is A LOT of chicken, not to mention all the other meats we serve to our guests! Our meat department cleans, cuts, trims, and breads each and every piece in house. While some of our larger cuts of meat are manually cut with knives, our chicken is primarily cut utilizing a bandsaw.

• Assists the Meat Department in the processing of raw poultry, meats, and seafood by cleaning, trimming, or breading of products.
