Job summary

ShopRite of Englewood is seeking a Meat Wrapper Clerk to deliver a great customer experience by wrapping, packaging, scaling and price marking meat products. The role requires standing for long periods, heavy lifting, and maintaining a clean, safe meat department in a fast-paced store environment.

The position emphasizes customer service, safety, teamwork, and accurate pricing. Training is provided to ensure proper food handling and department standards are met.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak English fluently and understand basic math.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally 80–90 lbs.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and safe work habits.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner and work with others.

Responsibilities

• Wrap, package, scale and price mark merchandise in Meat Department.
• Keep the department clean, neat, and visually appealing.
• Assist with stocking, inventory, and display of meat products.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and company policies and report any equipment issues.
