Job summary

Kroger is seeking a front-line team member to support the Meat department with clean-up, stocking, and customer service. You will greet customers, assist with food displays, and ensure products meet quality and safety standards.

• Experience in grocery retail and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully; greet customers and provide quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Must be able to communicate with customers and associates.
• Make clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods per company standards.
• Perform required temperature monitoring.
• Monitor product quality; ensure freshness and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
• Keep floors clean and safe; remove clutter.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils as per policies.
• Maintain proper signage, rotation, freshness, quantity, and space for merchandise.
• Maintain equipment and facilities safely per policies.
• Adhere to policies, laws; operate cash register as applicable.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
