Job summary

The Kroger Co. is hiring for a Meat department teammate to perform general clean-up, stock work, and provide customer service.

You will demonstrate our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety while engaging with customers in a fast-paced retail setting. Responsibilities include greeting customers, stocking products, monitoring temperature and product quality, maintaining clean areas, and following company policies and health department guidelines.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and verbal communication with customers and associates.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work with all levels of the organization.
• Personal initiative and follow through to completion.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to safely use cleaning solutions and operate production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers promptly and cheerfully; greet customers and provide good quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous and professional in all interactions.
• Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms and coolers clean and well organized.
• Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper signage, rotation, freshness and space allocation for merchandise.
