Job summary

Houchens Food Group is seeking a Meat Clerk to support the meat department. The role involves preparing, storing, cutting, cleaning and serving meat, with a flexible part-time schedule and non-exempt status.

Reports to the Meat Manager and participates in daily operations to ensure quality and safety. You will monitor displays, stock coolers, maintain records, assist with inventory, and deliver friendly service to customers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, store, cut, clean and serve meat.
• Monitor guidelines for food distribution and ensure following procedures.
• Maintain coolers, displays and keep stocked.
• Provide friendly, prompt service to customers.
• Record all hours worked and sign time ticket reports.
• Assist in inventory and shrink control activities.
• Ensure proper temperatures in meat coolers and cases.
• Maintain cleanliness of the meat department and equipment.
