Job summary

Kj’s Market is seeking a part-time Meat Department Clerk to join our family-owned team. You will provide friendly, efficient guest service and help prepare, cut, weigh, and price meats according to standards. We offer weekly pay and flexible schedules.

You’ll rotate products, maintain sanitation, and assist with stocking, receipts, and special cuts for guests. If you’re reliable, physically capable, and enjoy teamwork in a cold environment, apply today.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Previous meat department or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a cold environment.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provides polite, friendly service to all guests.
• Prepares product for sale (cutting, weighing, trimming) according to standards.
• Prices, stocks, and rotates frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case.
• Provides special guests service requests (eg. special cuts, slicing).
• Maintains sanitation standards in the cooler, sales and prep areas.
• Maintains high quality, freshness and properly dated product available for sale.
• Communicate temperature failures to supervisor.
• Announce meat department sale items on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.

• 8. Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
• 9. Previous meat cutting experience.
• 10. Meat cutting skill test qualifications.
