Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equival. preferred.
• 1+ years of meat clerk/cutter experience; apprenticeships a plus.
• Proficiency in meat cutting techniques and knowledge of products.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a cold environment.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• ServSafe or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, grind, and prepare various beef, pork, and poultry cuts.
• Package and display meat products in a sanitary, attractive manner.
• Assist receiving, rotating, and stocking to maintain freshness.
• Follow HACCP, FDA, and local health regulations for a safe environment.
• Assist customers with inquiries, orders, and recommendations.
• Operate and clean meat cutting equipment safely.
• Collaborate with department team to meet store goals.
