Qualifications

• Experience in meat cutting, butchery, or related food prep roles.
• Knowledge of cuts, portioning, and safe handling practices.
• Ability to operate knives and meat-processing equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math for weighing, pricing, and portioning.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate to heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, grind, and portion meats per store standards and customer requests.
• Prepare meat cases and displays for attractive presentation and proper rotation.
• Maintain freshness, quality, and food safety at all times.
• Operate knives, saws, grinders, slicers and other equipment safely.
• Assist customers with special cutting requests and provide friendly service.
• Weigh, label, package, and price products accurately.
• Monitor inventory and help reduce waste through proper handling.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment per sanitation procedures.
• Follow policies, health regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team to support daily department operations.
