Job summary

Leevers Supermarkets Inc. in Colorado is seeking a Meat Cutter to support the Meat Department with trimming, preparing standard cuts and merchandising to drive sales and ensure food safety.

You will work under the Meat Manager, handle slicing and packaging, and maintain proper rotation and display standards. Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of hands-on meat dept experience, strong math and communication skills, able to work in a cold environment, and be dependable and flexible to cover

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required.
• English literacy required; Spanish or other language skills desired.
• Dependable and flexible to work in other areas as needed.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, packages, wraps, weighs, prices, and labels meat products per USDA standards.
• Prepares and merchandises attractive meat displays to maximize sales.
• Maintains proper product rotation, dating, and storage in display cases and coolers.
• Receives, inspects, and stores meat deliveries to maintain cold chain and quality.
• Maintains sanitation and food safety standards per policy.
• Assists with ordering, inventory, markdowns, and scale operations as needed.
