Job summary

Save-A-Lot, Ltd. Elyria store is seeking a Meat Cutter to prepare meat, stock the case, and provide excellent customer service. You will cut, wrap, weigh, and label products, rotate stock and maintain safety and sanitation standards daily.

You’ll also help coach teammates and ensure displays maximize sales. Requirements include 18+, high school diploma or equivalent, basic math, and English proficiency; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year meat-cutting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in basic math and measurement.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; Spanish a plus.
• Dependable and flexible to work in other areas as needed.
• Commitment to safety, sanitation and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead meat department to meet and exceed goals and standards.
• Order, merchandise, and manage shrink in the meat area.
• Coach and train others on meat tasks and safety procedures.
• Prepare, cut, wrap, and price meat products for display.
• Maintain proper dating, rotate stock, and ensure quality.
• Enforce policies and procedures in the store.
