Job Summary
Receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including grinding. Assist in seafood, cheeses, prepared foods, and deli sections. Maintain sanitation and safety standards within the meat department.

Members Responsibilities

Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist members with meat, poultry, and seafood recommendations and special cuts
- Cut, grind, package, and label meats according to standards
- Ensure the meat case showcases current products and maintains proper inventory levels
- Stock and rotate meats, seafood, cheeses, and prepared foods; dispose of expired products properly
- Clean and sanitize equipment and displays regularly
- Inspect and store incoming meats, ensuring quality standards
- Perform other duties as needed, including ordering and cross-department work
- Maintain regular attendance
Qualifications
- Completion of a training or apprenticeship program
- Previous meat cutting experience required
- Knowledge of wrapping machines preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
Environmental Conditions
- Work involves movement on hard surfaces, bending, reaching, and handling
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 pounds; more with assistance
- Work in cooler environments with exposure to temperature extremes and noise; possible contact with cleaning agents
The starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour. Actual salary may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications.
