Job Title: Meat Cutter

Position Overview

The meat cutter is responsible for providing courteous and prompt service to increase customer confidence and loyalty. Under supervision, this role involves cutting meat to specifications for variety, size, quality, and trim.

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a courteous manner.
• Prepare and package food products, process customer orders, and handle various meat products according to standards.
• Receive and break down meat deliveries.
• Use cutting lists during peak times to cut and trim products as directed.
• Wrap, weigh, and price products properly.
• Cube, slice, and grind meat as needed.
• Follow local, state, and federal laws on weights, measures, sanitation, and labeling.
• Operate safety equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock, rotate, and restock products to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Report safety hazards, faulty equipment, theft, and other issues to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. or ability to obtain it.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug test and background check.
