Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Meat Department team member to stock and present meat products, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safe handling and accurate dating. You will assist customers, monitor rotation, and operate knives, scales, and wrapping equipment to prepare products for daily sales.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 2+ years in grocery/meat retail, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in a meat/retail environment.
• Preferred 2–3 years grocery retail experience in Meat department processes and procedures.
• Journeyman cutter or apprenticeship completed preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock and present meat products according to department schematics.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in meat aisles and cooler areas.
• Monitor product rotation and expired stock; ensure proper dating and labeling.
• Assist customers at the meat counter and cross-sell products.
• Operate equipment safely and handle packaging and wrapping.
