Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Meat Cutter to prepare fresh meat products, trim and label cuts, and assist customers with special requests. You will maintain clean, organized displays and follow strict safety and sanitation standards throughout shifts.

You will work with knives, grinders, and saws, ensure product quality, and coordinate with teammates to keep the meat department running smoothly. Prior meat-cutting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have experience trimming, cutting, and preparing meat products.
• Comfort with standing for long periods in cold environments.
• Ability to operate power equipment such as saws, grinders, and slicers following safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques.
• Adherence to sanitation standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh meat products and maintain quality standards.
• Display and label products correctly; assist customers with cut requests.
