Job summary

Qualifications

• Meat work experience or similar experience in food preparation.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
• Must work with cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate equipment.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stay calm and positive under pressure.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to employment, safety and food handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, labeling, scaling, merchandising, selling, serving customers, and other functions per policies.
• Keep department temperature logs accurately updated and maintained.
• Stock and display meat items safely and in accordance with standards.
• Check product quality; rotate stock properly and ensure freshness.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, coolers clean and organized.
• Hygiene: wash and sanitize equipment per health policies.
• Greet customers and provide quality foods; expedite service.
• Increase store sales and profits with marketing programs.
