Job summary

Meijer is seeking a team member to assist in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind. You will follow the production schedule to ensure advertised fresh meat cuts meet demand and maintain strong relationships with customers and staff.

Responsibilities include writing fresh meat orders, organizing deliveries, and upholding safety, sanitation, and presentation standards in a retail meat department environment. This role offers a hands-on, community-focused workplace.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the writing of fresh meat orders.
• Organizing and checking in fresh meat deliveries.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, team members and leadership.
