The role requires lifting heavy loads, standing for long periods, and maintaining thorough sanitation and safety standards. You will collaborate with team members to deliver great customer service and efficient department operations.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation.
• Able to regularly lift 35 lbs and occasionally 80-90 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and refrigerated environments.
• Operate Meat Department equipment (band saws, grinders, wrapping machines, power jacks, knives).
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness per company policy.
• Provide friendly, courteous customer service and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Cut and trim meat according to company specifications.
• Rotate and restock meat cases; remove outdated or damaged products.
• Check prices and locate items in the store; assist customers.
• Follow QA and sanitation standards in refrigerated areas.
• Work overtime as assigned and maintain punctual attendance.
