Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Utica, MI is hiring a part-time Meat Cutter to assist in daily beef, pork, and grind cutting and to follow production schedules for fresh meat cuts.

You will write fresh meat orders, organize deliveries, and maintain a positive service mindset for customers and teammates. The ideal candidate has familiarity with weights and measures in meat processing, safety and sanitation procedures, and experience with inventory control and packaging.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the writing of fresh meat orders.
• Organizing and checking in fresh meat deliveries.
• Maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, team members and leadership.
