Qualifications

• Previous meat-cutting, meat-processing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of meat types, cuts, and preparation methods.
• Ability to work safely around knives, saws, grinders, slicers, refrigerated areas, and freezers.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
• Must be at least 19 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and trimming meat for retail and wholesale sale.
• Weighing and packaging meat portions and labeling with cut, grade, and best-by date.
• Customer service: assisting with product selections and preparation recommendations.
• Maintaining sanitation and cleaning knives and equipment.

• Quality control and removal of defects or blemishes.
• Following food safety guidelines and proper temperature control.
