Job summary

The Save Mart Companies in California is hiring a Meat Cutter Apprentice to meet daily production needs in meat cutting and preparation. You will display products, process fresh and frozen items, package trays, weigh and label, and sanitize work areas to health standards.

Ideal candidates are 18+, able to lift 40 pounds, able to read and speak English, and available for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Competitive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Continuous walking, standing, reaching, and bending.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Strong team player with a willingness and desire to learn, work hard, and have fun with it!
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily production needs and quality standards in meat cutting and preparation.
• Display product in a fresh and appealing manner throughout the department.
• Process fresh and frozen products.
• Package, prepare trays, weigh and label packages, rotate product and remove out-of-code date products.
• Sanitize work areas in accordance with company standards and health department regulations.
