Job summary

Family Fare in Fargo, ND is seeking a part-time Meat Cutter to join our retail team. You will cut and weigh steaks, chops, and related products, follow recipes for value-added items, and ensure accurate labeling and portioning.

The role supports a clean, well-stocked department while delivering good customer service. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, basic math, and the ability to read and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Detail oriented with accuracy in weighing and labeling.
• Basic math skills for price calculation and portioning.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Prior meat cutting experience preferred or apprenticeship readiness.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, etc. for individual servings.
• Produce value-added products per guidelines and recipes.
• Cut, trim, bone carcass sections to proper cooking cuts.
• Follow recipes to grind and tray meats and sausages.
• Price, date, wrap, and bag products per guidelines.
• Fill, rotate, and merchandise shelves and displays.
• Notify manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise.
• Maintain knowledge of products, prices, and usage.
• Practice suggestive selling and keep area clean and stocked.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety, and guest experience guidelines.
