A leading grocery store in Irving is seeking a Meat Cutter to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for breaking, cutting, and preparing meat products while ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A Food Handler Card is mandatory for this position.
Under direct supervision, the Meat Cutter breaks, cuts, and prepares meat products, using hand tools and power equipment, in the variety, size, quantity, and trim prescribed by company standards. Meat products are prepared for display or as ordered by customers. Works with customers to take special orders. Collaborates with Meat Clerks and the Meat Manager to determine which items need to be cut.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform very heavy lifting, bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, requiring physical activity such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory alertness. Minimum Certification: Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
